conac 2023
The tenth edition of the Steel Industry Congress and Exhibition, CONAC 2023, was held from March 13 to 15, 2023. The official venue was CINTERMEX in Monterrey, N.L. and on this occasion we grew in square meters and changed the exhibition pavilions to pavilions E and F, in order to offer ample space to exhibit more brands, products, heavy parts, machinery and/or vehicles, we added within the same exhibition area the conference rooms and thus generate a greater flow of attendees.
The first conference was given by Mr. Óscar Chahin Sanz, Chief Operating Officer of TYASA with the topic: The Mexican steel industry in the face of climate change and the adoption of new technologies and the other conference was given by Mr. Ricardo García, Sustainability Coordinator – Metalsa with the topic: Challenges in the Decarbonization of the Supply Chain: The Metalsa Case.
We had 82 technical conferences simultaneously with topics divided into: Steelmaking, Rolling, Processes and uses of steel and Maintenance and Safety, as well as 2 panel discussions: Human Capital Panel and Practical Operation Panel .
A total of 98 national and international companies exhibited.
The closing activities were two industrial visits to the Ternium Pesquería and Ternium Guerrero plants.

EXPO ACERO 2022
Second edition of ExpoAcero, this time the event was held on August 29-31 at the Querétaro Centro de Congresos in Querétaro, Querétaro, Mexico.

Mr. Seong-Yeon Kim from Posco, with the topic: From Steel maker to Green tomorrow by making eco-friendly products, Adriana Carvalho from S&P GLOBAL PLATTS, with the topic: A global vision of the steel industry in volatile times, Juan Pablo Pedraza from S&P GLOBAL PLATTS, with the topic: A global vision of the steel industry in volatile times, and Juan Pablo Pedraza from S&P GLOBAL PLATTS, with the topic: A global vision of the steel industry in volatile times.
Juan Pablo Pedraza from Ternium with the topic: Trends in the Steel Industry and Jorge Nieto, Jaime Luján from ARCELORMITTAL with the topic: The new HSM and the part of steel coil production for Mexico. Three technical courses were also given on the following topics: Characteristics and development of steels, Basic principles of metallurgy, Hot dip galvanizing protecting steel. The courses concluded with an industrial visit to the company SISTTEMEX.We had more than 50 simultaneous technical conferences and 60 exhibitors.
The event also received the galvanizing committee of AIST USA, with technical meetings and a visit to the NUCOR plant.

conac 2021
After a two-year pandemic, CONAC 2020 became CONAC 2021, which was an event awaited by many people to see us again and continue making this industry as strong as steel.
Thanks to the great acceptance of the last event, we have increased the number of booths contemplating that more national and international companies will attend, offering their products and/or services to CONAC visitors.
The theme of Industry 4.0 will also be included.

EXPO ACERO 2019
In the month of June 2019, the first edition of the eighth Steel Congress and Exhibition, ExpoAcero 2019, was held from June 11 to 13.
This is the first exhibition for service centers, as well as steel users, processors and transformers.
This exhibition will be held on an itinerant basis and this time the venue was Poliforum, Leon, Guanajuato, Mexico.
Mauricio Usabiaga Díaz Barriga / Secretary of Sustainable Economic Development of Guanajuato and we had more than 40 simultaneous technical conferences and 49 exhibitors.

conac 2018
In the month of March 2018, the eighth Steel Congress and Exhibition, CONAC 2018, was held from March 4 to 6. The official venue was CINTERMEX in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon.
On this occasion the keynote address was given by Lic. César Jiménez, executive president of TERNIUM Mexico.
Two short courses were held: “Design of rolling passes” and “Technologies for the production of clean steel”.
As well as 77 technical conferences simultaneously with topics divided into: Steelmaking, Rolling, Processes and uses of steel and Maintenance and Safety.
The closing of activities was an industrial visit to FRISA STEEL in Garcia, N.L.
This event grows in each edition, this year there was a participation of 80 exhibitors and an attendance of 1,600 visitors.

conac 2016
The host venue was the new area of CINTERMEX, Mty, N.L., which from March 14 to 16, 2016 hosted 69 exhibitors, mainly national and international manufacturers and suppliers of the steel sector. More than 1,600 visitors enjoyed touring the exhibition and were able to learn about technological advances and new products useful in the value chain and steel production.
Eduardo Garza T. Junco, General Director of FRISA, who shared with the attendees concepts related to the steel environment.
A total of 75 conferences were scheduled in separate rooms dedicated to: Steelmaking and Primary Processes, Rolling, Steel Processes and Uses, and Industrial Maintenance and Safety.
In addition, Short Courses focused on the topics of “Slag” and “Rolling” were given. There was also a poster exhibition section with valuable technical research information prepared by authors especially for this event.
The activities concluded with a visit to the company Altos Hornos de México (AHMSA) in the city of Monclova, Coah.

conac 2014
This edition of CONAC was held at CINTERMEX in Monterrey, N.L. from March 23 to 25, with 70 exhibiting companies and 80 conferences distributed in 4 halls. In terms of the number of attendees, there were more than 800 visitors to the exhibition.
The short courses given were on “Continuous Casting Process” and “Rolling Process of Flat Products”.
The master conference was given by Mr. Máximo Vedoya, Executive President of Ternium Mexico.
Closing the formal activities of this event with an interesting visit to the TERNIUM Industrial Center Plant in the municipality of Pesqueria, NL.

conac 2012
The fifth edition of the Steel Industry Congress and Exhibition, CONAC 2012, was held for the first time at CINTERMEX in Mty. N.L. from October 8 to 11, 2012.
There were 64 exhibitors who were able to attend and interact with approximately 1,000 people who had the opportunity to tour the exhibition.
With a program of 74 technical conferences distributed in four halls divided by subject matter into Steelmaking, Rolling, Processes and Uses of Steel as well as Safety and Maintenance; including three special short courses for all those interested in learning about “Basic Principles of Pass Design”, “Electrical Transformers” and “Maintenance”; with an official opening keynote lecture given by Mr. Alejandro González, Director of North Planning, Ternium Mexico.
There was also an exhibition of research work in the form of posters and artistic works in the form of steel sculptures.
The event ended with a visit to the TERNIUM Guerrero Plant facilities.

conac 2010
For the fourth time, the CONAC organized by the AIST Mexico Chapter in conjunction with the National Chamber of the Iron and Steel Industry (CANACERO) was held; the event took place from October 3 to 5 at the CONVEX Center facilities in the city of Mty. N.L. The event started with short courses on “Steel Oxidation”, “Power System and HEA Transformer Care” and “Improvements in the Design of Transmission Shaft Gears and Flexible Couplings” given by leading experts in these subjects.
With an attendance of 600 visitors, both to the exhibition (70 exhibitors) and to the 36 programmed conferences on Steelmaking, Rolling, Steel Processes and Uses, as well as Primary Processes and Maintenance, with Mr. Bill Chisholm, General Manager of Arcelormittal Mexico, as the main speaker in the keynote speech.
The series of activities were complemented with a visit to the TERNIUM Guerrero Plant facilities.

conac 2007
The Steel Industry Congress and Exhibition organized by AIST Mexico with the support of the National Chamber of the Steel Industry (CANACERO) is already a tradition and an event awaited by members of the steel family not only from our country, but also by distinguished visitors from different nationalities. The venue for this third edition was again the CONVEX Center in the city of Mty. N.L.
From November 11 to 14, 74 exhibitors met, which received more than 500 visitors who were able to learn about the latest news in the industry and establish communication links between them.
Octavio Rangel Frausto, General Director of CANACERO, followed by a conference on the Steel Museum given by Luis Lopez Perez, Director of the Steel Museum.
The events around the congress included visits to important companies: AHMSA in Monclova, Coah, and DOFASCO now ARCELORMITTAL Tubular Products Monterrey, in Escobedo, N.L.

conac 2005
The Second National Steel Congress (CONAC), organized by our association with the support of CANACERO, was held with great success from November 13 to 15, 2005, at the facilities of the CONVEX Center in the city of Mty. N.L.
This event started with two short courses: “Flat Process Rolling” and “Pass Design” in which there was an excellent participation.
This exhibition was made up of 53 national and international companies of the steel industry.
Dr. Rafael Rubio from HYLSAMEX, presented the keynote lecture “Evolution and Challenges of the Steel Industry” where he analyzed the economic environment and where the future of the steel industry is projected.
The technical conferences totaled 54, which were given simultaneously in three different rooms, divided according to the topic: Steelmaking, Rolling and Steel Processes and Uses. In addition, other papers were presented in the poster section of the exhibition area.
Another activity of our congress were the industrial visits to IMSA in the area of coated products, UCAR Mexicana in the area of steelmaking supplies and PARQUE FUNDIDORA.

conac 2003
The First National Steel Industry Congress and Exposition of ISS Mexico-CANACERO was held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Mty. N.L.
Raúl M. Gutiérrez Muguerza, General Director of DEACERO, S.A. de C.V., gave a keynote speech on “Challenges of the Steel Industry in Mexico, an entrepreneurial vision”.
The exhibition was attended by 38 national and international companies of the industry in its different areas of supplies, spare parts and services.
The presentations were divided according to their subject in three halls: Steelmaking, Rolling and Steel Processes and Uses, with the attendance of 280 people; in addition to the poster section that was presented in the exhibition area.
