Participants will learn the basic principles of metallurgy used to obtain steel from iron ore. The theoretical and practical foundations applied to achieve the chemical and structural composition of steel. The critical variables that define the mechanical properties of steels, their applications in the market, and the nomenclature of steels in accordance with international standards. The main raw materials that define the quality of steel are identified, as well as the treatments that contribute to the manipulation of its mechanical properties.
Executives and employees of steel product manufacturing companies, suppliers to the steel industry, professionals in sales, purchasing, technical services, suppliers of raw materials, spare parts, and services to steel manufacturing companies, those interested in the management, maintenance, and optimization of steel forming processes, and students in related fields.
